    Hi,

    Thank you. I forgot that after I reported the issue, I changed the form to manual approval. Sorry for the confusion. I only see the issue when:
    – is not set to manual approval (i.e. just to default)
    – when user registration is disabled in WordPress general settings,
    – a contributor submits the form.

    I have a separate issue (I can add a separate ticket if you want), when the form is set to manual approval: I and all those in the to and cc list on the ‘user confirmation email’, get an email just saying “Your new account on PBCC is under review. You’ll receive another email once the site admin approves your account. You should be able to login into your account after that.” When I approve, the person gets added as a user, but I don’t think the ‘user confirmation’ email ever gets sent.

    Thanks for your reply. The form works just fine, and emails to receipients get sent. But, no user account gets created when the logged in user is a ‘contributor’. (I realise that contributors can’t normally create an account). However, this did work before the 1.48.0 changes.
