WPML & Recent Posts Widget Extended users ~ for future reference:

Since this plugin takes advantage of Transients API with cache life timer, and due to said caching (if enabled), the change of languages on the page (by a visitor) has no affect on the posts provided (for it is providing cached data, from the original/default language).

To resolve this, within the widget panel, simply change the “Cache Life” from 42300 (default, 12 hours) to 1 (disabled).

Now, when a visitor changes the site language, the posts provided will reflect that new language.
