John, thank you for the tip. Bitnami installers create a symbolic link to the wp-content directory. I removed the symbolic link and moved the wp-content to the WordPress directory and all is working correctly now. Much appreciate the advice!
One of my editors is reporting this same problem today. I checked the site with Safari and Firefox, but was unable to reproduce the error. Would be interested if you figure out anything else on this issue.
