thank you for the help and sorry for the delay.
Yes I tried it and it worked so far that the menu is now shown only in portrait mode on the phone. In landscape mode or on the tablet I now have the original menu of my theme (twentyeleven).
Does your Menu not work with bigger resolutions in general?
