In reply to: [WooCommerce] Wrong tax calculation (16% instead of 19%)Thank you both very much for your reply!
I think I now see the issue, both answers make absolute sense however @xue28 answer already solves the problem.
Thanks again
Wow, that’s amazing, thank you so much for the quick fix!
Sorry to bug you here James, but unfortunately it still isn’t clear.
When importing a post there is a field to enable post slug as you can see in this screenshot:
But when importing a product then I don’t see such thing as post_name or slug field:
Or am I missing something here?
Thanks for you help, much appreciated

Awesome, that clarifies some things.
Thanks!
Hi James,
thanks for the quick reply.
But I’m not quite sure if it answers my question. I know that the imported product title will alter the slug, but is it possible to import/set the product URL directly?
I’m asking because my import file has a unique SKU for each article which is already formatted as a slug/URL, whereby the title it not unique, so if possible I would like to set this as slug/URL directly.
Thanks in advance,
Max
EDIT: It’s working now.
https://www.importwp.com/documentation/sorry-file-type-not-permitted-security-reasons/
I tried out the suggested code from the documentation and was able to upload the XML file and work with it, however I got this error message (thought you might would want to know):
“Config Index File Not Found: /www/htdocs/DATABASE-NAME/MYWEBSITE.NET/wp-content/uploads/importwp/temp-config-1639.json.file_index-”

Ok awesome, thanks.
I didn’t know I could assign letters and symbols as SKU as well (thought it’d have to be numbers only).
The only thing left now is that when I import 40 products from a list, ImportWP creates 31 new records and updates 9, although there are 0 pre-existing products in woocommerce and also 0 in the trash bin. I will create a video for this shortly.
Thank you very much for your support here James, it really helps a lot!
Kind regards,
MaxSame question, asked differently:
I have to import 40 products, their names are the same, but they differ in attributes.Product 1:

Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately I didn’t get a notification.
I will take a look into the guide you provided.
Regarding your questions:
It seems that some records that have been imported before, then deleted and then reimported again are revived from the trash bin and updated. How is this handled? Can I restrict ImportWP from “reviving” old records from the bin? Does it even do that? And the other problem I have is that when I import let’s say 40 products, in the same import 30 records are being created and 10 are being updated. I tested this and it looks like ImportWP updates it’s own records while importing them, so I end up with only 30 products in the end. How can I prevent this?
Thank you.
If it’s helpful I can create a screencast showing this.
