Thanks for the reply and sorry – Its just that we have WP forge and starter and were particularly looking for something that won’t conflict with this theme.

Thank you so much for the reply. I think that you have saved me hours of head scratching there working out whats best to do.
It was my intention to start afresh. But I was hoping that I could start again on WP-Starter so I have laboriously made a record of all the settings and plug ins on the present site. Then I was planning to upload WP-Starter and make it all look good leaving the present site working until I am ready to activate the new child theme. but I can’t find the WP-Starter as an option to upload when I go to Appearance and Themes. I simply get the message that I already have that theme uploaded. Again I am missing something simple here so HUGE aologies if its wasting your time. But I know that once I get started on the new child theme I’ll be fine (He says crossing everything 🙂
