I was having the same issues, no sliding images unless the ‘caption’ option is enabled.

and download the free version, extract the 3 files:

nivo-slider.css
jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js
jquery.nivo.slider.js

from the nivo slider folder, replace the existing files in the folder plugins/easy-nivo-slider/3rd-party/ on your server and all should work!

The easiest way I have found of displaying a post or category on a particular page is by making the page link to a url of your choice using the ‘Page Links To’ plugin:

I wanted a page in my navigation bar to display posts from a particular category, in my case my blog page.

The theme I use has a featured content glider to display content on my home page but I wanted my blog on a seperate page, all I had to do was paste the url of my blog category into the box and my blog page now displays all posts in my blog category, so now when someone clicks on the blog page in the nav bar they are taken to:

http://dekoded.com/category/blog/

instead of:

http://dekoded.com/blog/
