Maybe I did not explain it very clearly or I am not understanding. I am not moving the files, the files are in http://mermaid.wavefactory.org/ and will be there.

I simply masked and forwarded the site on the new .com URL. The problem, as you know, is that although users see http://www.mermaid-entertainment.com if they share a page or if they open it on a new tab the “real link” will appear: mermaid.wavefactory.org/…

So, In the WordPress CPanel I changed the “Site Adress (URL)” to the new .com and now each page is at .com/… but the control panel is not working.
