No, sorry… they just said I should talk to the Gutenberg support:

Thanks for keeping in touch. This is an issue caused by the Gutenberg plugin, it seems there is a conflict with this plugin, please check with the plugin support whether this is an issue known to them. Looking forward to hearing from you.

That is the text of their email…

Hi… me again. πŸ™‚ Just a quick resume: my Spectra block “table of content” is bugged since some days.

I have been in touch with the Brainstorm support team, who are incharge of Spectra. They had me creating a staging test site to look at the issue. Today, they have come back to me. They told me that in their review and testing, they found out that Gutenberg is causing the issue.

Therefore my question – how can I resolve this? To whom can I talk?

Txs in advance for any hint on this. πŸ™‚

    Best regards

First it was kind of an Add-On to Gutenberg… called Ultimate Gutenberg Blocks or something like that. Then, some months ago, changed the name to Spectra. I am using those blocks since Gutenberg was published, and they never had any issue. Now, it is the second problem in two weeks… kind of desperated over here.

The tables of content on my site still are fine, as they are some days old and still correct. But I cannot actualize any content in order not to import the bug. Which means, I cannot work.

Just don’t know what to do…

Hi, I just checked and the buggy element is from Spectra… I have not found a “Spectra-Forum”. Maybe I have overseen it – still new here. Where should I post my question if it is about Spectra?

Txs in advance for any hint. πŸ™‚

Thank you so much πŸ™‚ I am not sure if it is Gutenberg or Spectra, I will check.

Today another update of Gutenberg was published. The update resolved my issue. Thanks a lot for your comments and help! πŸ™‚

Yes it does. But anyway, I would prefer to use the standard editor with Gutenberg and Spectra. I had Divi running twice, and for several months. It is a wonderful tool, but is not working properly with my translation tool Polylang. I was spending half a year in summer to get that right, but then I gave up.

Therefore I decided to stay in the regular WP tools if possible. I am using GeneratePress as a theme for speed issues. For a try, I switched to the 2023 theme, but there the link button is also gone. GeneratePress was working perfectly fine over the last four months.

What I also noticed is that the plugin Health and Trouble Shooting does not work properly any more. Therefore I deactivated it.

And yes, another issue is that my WP site has trouble to load the backend on my laptop since a month or so. I thought it was my old PC, but now I am not sure. Have to load every page 2-3 times until it pops up in a correct view? But I am not sure if this issue is related.

Anyway, the link button issue is what is affecting me most at this moment. I wanted to use those free days between Christmas an New Year to work on new content, as I am on vacation from my other job. And now – I just cannot write. lol. πŸ˜‰

Thank you so much! I will try. πŸ™‚ But I amnot sure if it is the theme. I even tried to change to 2023, and the issue remained.
