Thank you for your detailed response – I have now implemented the changes in ‘How to block bot registrations’ and have not had a scam registration since. Hurrah!

I have now disabled all gmail emails and that has stopped the scammer BUT that is no solution.

My preferred solution is PHP code to stop emails where first_name = second_name. I might be able to learn enough PHP to sort it – we shall see.
