oh my bad i thought you only add it once…
Just do the following:
– Create a Product and add it to a Category
– Open the Category Page in the Frontend and you should get an error (No products found which match your selection) or just an empty page.
Strangly this does not happen on the main shop page only on the Category Pages.

If you click on “Testkategorie2” in the Breadcrumbs you should see an empty Category Page even though the product belongs clearly in that category.
