  • Under “appearance” in the left menu there is an option to chose “menus”.

Here you can “create a new menu”, and choose from “Categories”. The categories needs to be created before you build the menu. Choose the categories you want to highlight in your top menu.

When the menu is ready you can place it where the theme allowes the different Menus. Usually across the header, but also in the footer, at the top of page or in the sidebar.

Your website look very clean and professional! Your frontpage also describes what you do (and where you do it) very well.

The page loads a little slow on my part, but I tested it, and it was only 4 seconds. It might be my computer. However, it might be worth looking into.

There is an error when you click on the Member images. Like under “recently active members”

You get to a “page not found” with a parked domain thing on it. Might be because your website is fresh?

What information shown in the Facebook default post, when people share your page is located in the Open Graph meta.

This is from your website (line 38-41 in my view):

    `<meta property=’og:title’ content=’Strategic Church Planting’ />
    <meta property=’og:site_name’ content=’PLANT FOOD’ />
    <meta property=’og:url’ content=’http://www.mcemedia.org/URL&#8217; />
    <meta property=’og:type’ content=’article’ /><style type=”text/css”>/*

What you are missing is the “og:description” field giving you an option to choose your own description, as well as “og:image” where you can use a image url to have a nice image for the post.

You should look for an Open Graph plugin where you can edit the data for each blog post. I know Yoast has it in his SEO plugin, but there are probably others as well.

Love the concept. Great to have locals giving affordable vacation options that are a little off-beat.

What I am missing is a clear message about what the website is all about. You don’t really get the concept before you have spent a few minutes. And I wonder if you even would understand it if you are not familiar with Fiverr and Microjobs.

You could also manually highlight some more untraditional offers. Your different offers are pieces of content, and what makes your business fun, unique and special.

I don’t know about the plugin recomended by Senff, as I have not tested it, but online translation is not very good.

As a norwegian, I get to visit a lot of auto-translated pages and it comes out as pure spam.

Since you write both languages, I would recommend doing the translation work yourself (or hire someone).

You will have to be patient with Google,JackLandscaping. Google need to reindex the particular article before it can publish your new title.

How fast this will happen depends on how often Google visits your site, and if the bot visit old content to look for any changes.

So my advice is to check the <title> tag on your page, and if it is like you want it to be, just ignore it. Google will pick it up eventually.

I get a yellow McAfee SiteAdvisor warning when I visit your website. Makes me not want to continue.

I’m not an expert either, but they seemed to take the longest time to load. If I remember correctly they where PNG files, and those are a little heavier than JPG.

You might see if the quality is still good if you save the images as JPG and change them on the website.

I had the same experience in terms of loading. Nothing happens for a long time, and suddenly everything loads ok.

I tried to load your site @ http://tools.pingdom.com/

The result was 14,76 seconds where 8 of them was spent before the website started to load anything.

The other problem was 2 of your showcase images (8 and 1)

Are you sure the host is good enough to meet your expectations? If you run a business or build professional websites, you don’t want to save yourself poor on your hosting.

I have the same experience with my Twenty Twelve website. The pictures loads, and a few blue lines where the links are supposed to be.

I also use chrome, but that does not fix the problem. If every chrome user who visit get this error, that is bad user experience.

I get a lot of these to. The pingback is ment to let you know that someone have found your blog post interesting enough to link to it.

The pingback system also motivates other bloggers to write about you, since they get a link back from the blogpost they are linking to.

Spamers have exploited this method, and will send you a pingback without actually linking to your site. The idea is that some webmasters won’t check the link and just approve the pingback link.

If the pingback is not legit or not from a trustworthy source, you should report it as spam, or just delete it as I do.

My thoughts is to remove the left sidebar and focus on the white big area. I feel that the left sidebar is almost ignorable, so you might as well remove it.

Also the logo need to pop out more, as it is very pale.

Is what you are looking for a type of magazine system, where each author have its own blog, and a manager picks the best posts to be featured on the front page?

There is a lot of text, but very few images to tell me what you are doing.

It would be nice to have some understanding of what type of painting you are aiming at, as well as what type of decorating you can provide.
