In reply to: Sidebar not showing on appearance->widget screenLooks like there are fatal errors because of undefined functions (I have not touched 2012 other than just installing it).
The undefined functions listed are is_active_sidebar and dynamic_sidebar.

With 2012, there’s a 500 error.
I mentioned above about the line of code that calls to load the dynamic sidebar that was causing the problem. It gets to that line and stops rendering the rest of the page (no sidebar, doesn’t finish the background of the content area, no footer, etc.). I took that line out, and it loads the default sidebar content from the sidebar.php file. There is also a similar problem in the footer.

In reply to: Sidebar not showing on appearance->widget screenI took out the problem code and got the default sidebar to load, but then noticed a problem with the get_footer line in the footer.php.
I looked at the functions.php and noticed that both the get_sidebar and get_footer functions are not listed.

<?php if ( ! dynamic_sidebar( ‘sidebar-1’ ) ) : ?>
This line is stopping the code. I know it’s not finding the sidebar, but not sure why.
