    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Links_Manager displays information about a version prior to 3.1.1 and is stated at the top of the page. When you navigate to the newer version, most of the options about link management is missing. That to me is a step backwards, especially for us non-technical people who need checkboxes and options to make things work 🙂

    Yes, to place the links onto the blog main page, I use the Widgets. However, I noticed in the DOCS section of WordPress, the screen shots show the ability to sort based upon different options. The upgrade to 3.1.1 appears to have removed the sort capability. The default is alphabetic, and I want to reorder the links differently. Is there somewhere that it could be edited to change the sort?

    I am fairly new at WordPress so I am not sure what you mean by coded solution. I am using the Twenty Ten theme and “dragged” the link list to its column. I used the admin interface to create the lists and categories. In version 2.0.5, my old version, it was on one of the admin pages to sort the URL’s.
