In reply to: Out of the blue: “Error establishing a database connection”Yup. Turned out my user info had been flushed down the memory hole, though I have no idea why. Recreated the user and proper password, and now all is hunky dory.
“Hunky dory”? I think I’m dating myself there.

In reply to: Out of the blue: “Error establishing a database connection”No, I’ve rechecked. The WP-config file is the same, byte for byte, as the backup I made a couple weeks back or so when I upgraded from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2.
I’m getting support from the host now, and he suggested that I delete and recreate the db username.
Funny thing is I can’t see the user info anymore.

In reply to: No input file specifiedI’m trying to install WP on a Windows 2003 machine and also get the “input file not specified” message. I get it a little earlier — when I try to run install.php. I have no php.ini file that I can find. That sounds like a Linux solution. Please, any help?
