I was having the same problem and Firebug told me it’s because Simple Nivo Slider had wrapped the page in a #slider div and set all images in that div to display: none.

Turning “display: none” and “position: absolute” off in Firebug meant the Edit and Delete images appeared again and I could delete unwanted lists.
