Hey @shanj, you are calling current_page_item as a ID (#) but it’s a CLASS (.)
Try to put this: .current_page_item a:active instead #current_page_item a:active
@avnish I think what @kevmatic wants to do is change a CSS property (the background image) through a Custom Field. In this article (#6) the guys of Smasing Magazine explains the way to embed custom CSS styles using custom fields, this other one can also be useful to you, take a look.
