    Hi Steve,

thanks for your hints. I backed up the subdirectories “elementor” and “elementor-pro” in “./wp-content/plugins” to a safe place, then removed them. Afterwards I copied these subdirectories from a recent backup into “./wp-content/plugins”.

In the WP-Admin panel the plugin “Elementor Pro” has version v3.3.2 (as before) and as a consequence there is a message that one can upgrade to v3.4.1.

Though having copied the two plugins from a recent backup the plugin “Elementor” has version v3.4.3 which is probably NOT the version it had before. However I do NOT remember its version before yesterday.

The website still does not load correctly. Of course, I flushed the browser’s cache before loading the website.

Some questions in order to hope to solve the problem:
    1. Is it possible to download a ZIP file of Elementor version 3.3.2 and to copy the extracted stuff into “./wp-content/plugins”?
    2. Do I have to correct / modify some tables in the database? If yes: which ones and what EXACTLY to do?

I would like to add some suggestions:
Could the developers of BOTH the “Elementor” and “Elementor Pro” add some necessary features:
    1. Thorough check-up before updating / upgrading (dependencies, etc.)
    2. Provide an automatic backup of essential files (in ./plugins and also in database)
    3. Allow for the roll-backup to the previous versions of both “Elementor” and “Elementor Pro” thus ensuring that the website is as functional as it was before a problematic update / upgrade (i.e. preserving the templates etc.)

    Best regards
    Dieter

    Hi corrinarusso,

thanks a lot for the checklist. I ran through it, no errors found so far.
I’m going to work with the plug-in mentioned in the URL (migration script).
