I see what you’re saying- the files going in the year I created the page 2010- but the month is still wrong, and not all of them are going there. Some show up in 2011- I found one file that showed up in month 4 and 5 2011. This doesn’t have anything to do with a theme- this something core being corrupted somewhere- unfortunately, I don’t know when it happened, how, or why. And I sure don’t know how to fix it. The only idea I have is to update WP, but I’m not sure about that either.
I’m hoping some WP guru will see this and know exactly what to do 🙂

In reply to: [Plugin: My Link Order] not workingNo, I haven’t called them yet- trying to troubleshoot first. I tried another ftp (although not a program but a add-on) and had the same and worse. Fireftp would upload a plugin, show it in the correct folder, but when I went to the plugins page in WP it is not there. I also had trouble adding one of my sites that is hosted with someone different than my other one- it just wouldn’t take the username and password.
If it is a permissions issue, you would think I would have had trouble uploading a long time ago- but that’s not the case. I’ve been happily using FileZilla for a few weeks now- trying all kinds of plugins and themes with no problems with one of my sites. When I started another site with a different hosting company not long after, the problems started- so I guess I’ll call them because I’ve tried everything, including reinstalling both FileZilla and WP- nothings working and no one knows what to say about it.

I’m wondering why it would need these permissions set long after I’ve already been uploading plugins successfully. In other words, I was uploading plugin using FZ just fine, and then it stopped working.

In reply to: [Plugin: My Link Order] not workingWell, I tried deleting the file in my plugins folder and reinstalling it- no go, it didn’t work and I installed it from WP. I have the plugin working on another site so using my FileZilla I downloaded the folder and uploaded it. It was listed in the plugins, but I couldn’t get it to work. All my links showed but I couldn’t reorder them- so it’s getting weirder!

I’d like to resolve this without adding a plugin and am wondering if it’s a problem with WP? Is anyone else having this issue?

Sorry for the delay in responding-
I’m using the sidebar links widget and in the settings you have the option of ordering them by name, address, link ID and rating. When I choose to order by rating and hit apply all the links go in order from 0 to 5 (as I have given them these ratings), but when I view the site they are back in order of name (alphabetically). My site is set to private right now as I am just learning WP and don’t want someone stumbling on to it just yet. I’m actually working on this so I can set up a WP site/blog for my church- I’m just using a site I’m going to get going to do the learning on.
