Had the same problem with DeepL Version 2.3.9.1 and Polylang Version 3.5.2 (+ WP 6.2)
Was working for one user but not for another one.
Problem solved by clearing the cache for the user for whom it was not working.

Glad you were managed to reproduce the bug. I am using Gutenberg on all the pages of my website – so it might be it.
