Turns out that the htaccess file had a command that redirected everything to the index file. Apparently an automated server installation gone awry.
I disabled the htaccess and your plugin worked like a charm.
Thanks again for the attention to this problem.
How cool is it that the free plugin author is hounding the user? Thanks for the nudge, Cory.
I get the identical result as before when running your test file.
Same result (with URL = IP/~username/test/installer.php):
Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Cory, the weird thing is, other files in the site root function and display as expected – PHP, TXT.
I’m no coder or server master, so a bit limited in troubleshooting ability.
BTW, I greatly appreciate your time and attention to supporting a free plugin.
If schmisa is correct, there’s not much point in doing Google remarketing with this plugin. Look – I know it’s a free plugin, but the developer has to support it if he wants to leverage the good will it generates. Otherwise, he’s damaging your brand value. Is anybody home, Yoast?
Ditto
I second that motion. I need to migrate to Tag Manager, but would deeply miss this plugin’s features if my only option was to remove Yoast Analytics. Please at least post whether or not you intend to support Tag Manager and when.
I can add onclick tracking for individual links to track, but it would be so much more useful and convenient if this plugin handled the job automatically.
I understand that it’s a free product, but I hope you can find the time to fix this problem.
That’s it indeed. I inspected the CSS several times, but somehow missed that one. I superseded the theme CSS at the page level, restoring the thumbs to their full glory! (cue dramatic music)
Luca, thanks for actively supporting the plugin forum.
I concur. The Bulk Delete function doesn’t delete any entries.
