In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] GoodReads WidgetHi Dan,
Thank you for your reply. I do not have the widget in the footer. The widget is in the sidebar but the book is mysteriously appearing in the footer. The same is happening to my horizontal reel slideshow. That widget is in appear at the top of every page. The titles for both are in the right place. The content is appearing at the wrong place.

In reply to: [WP Snow Effect] Let it Snow!It slows down the page load a bit, that is the only reason I dropped 1 star.
Me too All I had was the stop light, share and setting symbols. The edit toolbar also disappeared. I have deactivated the plugin and the toolbar is now back. I am hoping for an update that fixes this soon so I can reactivate a working plugin.

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] Not FreeYes, 1 STAR – Great Idea – Hard to implement – Old Links
Hard to use when you need to enter a credit card to set it up. It should state in the plugin description that you need to submit a credit card even to use the free features.Could the plugin make linking easier? – maybe but cannot test with out credit card.
My review is to let people know that to get access they need to submit credit info.
If there is a work around I have not found it and the support page for the plugin has a 404 error – not found.
I have been an Amazon Associate for years and if this plugin had an easy way to connect with my account without all the secret code hoopla I may have rated it higher.
I also find that links in the settings regarding the AWS Account Key are obsolete as of since April 21, 2014. As this is still titled as a Beta version, maybe the plugin needs a update to make it easier to set up and use.
So yes, 1 star

In reply to: [Amazon Associates Link Builder] Not FreeWhen I went in to the set up – To get the Access KEY ID and the Secret Access Key.
To retrieve your AWS account security credentials:
Sign in your AWS account at AWS Security Credentials Console. Use the same email address and password.
A pop-up message appears. Click Continue to Security Credentials.
Click Access Keys (Access Key ID and Secret Key).
Click Create New Access Key, and then click Show Access Key or Download Key File to retrieve the credentials.
Save the access key information in a safe location. You will use these credentials to make calls to the Product Advertising API.The first time I signed in it asked me for my credit card in case I went beyond the free tier on Amazon Web Services.

In reply to: Script not showing in postsAndrew I think I have it isolated. I think one of my sidebar widgets is causing the ad to be blocked. Just trying to determine which one. Thank you for your help 🙂

In reply to: Script not showing in postsI have had a person on another forum check my code and here was her response:

Well, this is driving me nuts. I’ve viewed your source code (ctrl+u) and I can see the widget code, but I don’t see the widget on your page.I was going to suggest that maybe it’s something to do with your theme, but you are using the same theme I am, Suffusion.
The code, and surrounding paragraphs, show up fine on my page. There is nothing wrong with the Amazon code.
There’s got to be something else on your page that is interfering with this code.

I can’t think of anything unusual that I have done. I have updated the Share Buttons by AddToAny plugin, but that is all can think of.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Script not showing in postsThank you. I have not that familiar with javascript or codes for that matter. Hopefully I can figure this out.
