This is also fixed by the solution on https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/the-rest-api/

We are only using the Paid Memberships Pro shortcode. As a workaround we’ve set the page to “Use WordPress Default”.

Have a second related issue that I’ll post about now.

Also on 2.8.3.

I suspect our installation is broken (it was migrated from another host in the past year and has had a few odd behaviours since). 🙁
