    Oh wow. Interesting. I wonder why we don’t. Might be related to some Chrome add-on or whatnot. Will investigate locally.

    Pretty embarrassing… Thanks so much for the help and apologies for the noise.

    Thanks, this is much appreciated.

    Okay, so I just installed a vanilla, empty WP site just for this. It is a vanilla 4.6.1 install, no content, with TwentySixteen (by default), and a social menu with two links: a LinkedIn one and a Facebook one.

    I see the same phenomena: on Chrome, when I “Manage with Live Preview” I see the social menu – but on the plain site, I don’t. On MSIE, I see the menu when I browse the site.

    Here it is.

    Please provide a link to your site! Thanks.

    The site is under .htpasswd as it is “under construction”. Sorry about that.
    Would it help if I quote the applicable code from the page source? If it would, here goes.

    Thanks!

    					<nav id="social-navigation" class="social-navigation" role="navigation" aria-label="תפריט קישורים חברתיים">
    								<div class="menu-social-links-menu-container"><ul id="menu-social-links-menu" class="social-links-menu"><li id="menu-item-47" class="menu-item menu-item-type-custom menu-item-object-custom menu-item-47"><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/redacted-redacted"><span class="screen-reader-text">LI</span></a></li>
    <li id="menu-item-48" class="menu-item menu-item-type-custom menu-item-object-custom menu-item-48"><a href="https://www.facebook.com/redacted.redacted.5"><span class="screen-reader-text">FB</span></a></li>
    </ul></div>							</nav><!-- .social-navigation -->
    											</div><!-- .site-header-menu -->
    							</div><!-- .site-header-main -->

    Update: The original files are 56 or 96 Kb/s mono. I have now converted the files to stereo and the player sings them out happily.

    It seems as if there actually is a bug in playing mp3’s encoded as mono.
