In reply to: Image display error symbolI ran into this problem a few days ago. Check your options under Settings > Miscellaneous. Check that your files are being uploaded to the correct spot. If it’s set to something other than the default, try putting it back to default.
Check your server to make the images are actually being uploaded. If not, you may need to check the permissions. Try setting them to ‘777’ just for a test, and then bump them back down to the appropriate level if it works (‘755’).

In reply to: Title Tag issueI assume it’s a pasting error, but check your double body tags. You’ll also want a <title></title> tag somewhere up there. Try this:
<body> <div id="page_wrap"> <div id="header"> <div id="headerimage"> <div class="blog_title"> <?php if (is_single() ) { ?> <h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> | <?php bloginfo('description'); ?></a></h1> <?php } else { ?> <h1><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>"><?php bloginfo('description'); ?> | <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1> <?php } ?> </div> </p> </div>Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: My 404 page does not show, instead I just get a chunk of codeHave you looked at this page in the codex?

It looks like a tag didn’t close properly somewhere. Make sure all your divs and ps are closed in the proper places.

In reply to: Default home page showing twice in main navCan you paste in the header.php code around the navigation area?
I’m guessing the code has something like this:
<?php wp_page_menu('show_home=1&include=9999'); ?>You’ll want to change to:
<?php wp_page_menu('show_home=1&exclude=22'); ?>22 in this case is the page we are excluding. You’ll want to put in the actual page id for the one you wish to exclude.

In reply to: Search BarDelete this from your header.php file:
<div class="search_bg"> <div id="search"> <form method="get" action="<?php bloginfo('home'); ?>" style="padding:0px 0px 0px 0px; margin:0px 0px 0px 0px"> <input type="text" value="Search..." name="s" onfocus="if (this.value == 'Search...') {this.value = '';}" onblur="if (this.value == '') {this.value = 'Search...';}"/><input type="image" class="input" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/images/search.gif" value="submit"/> </form> </div> </div>What does the index.php code look like inside the loop?
Try replacing <?php the_excerpt(); ?> with <?php the_content(); ?>

In reply to: PHP code showing in blogDouble check the code on your index.php template.
Does it look like this:
<div id="content"> <div id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>" <?php post_class(); ?>> <div class="ptitle">If not, make the change and see what happens. Paste it in directly. I think you were missing a semi-colon.

In reply to: lifestyle theme questionI’m sure it’s in the documentation that came with your StudioPress theme. Read through it. If not, their customer support is terrific.

In reply to: Can I add a click-through logo to the header?Just paste it at the end of default.css.
Did you get this figured out?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Can I add a click-through logo to the header?Try adding this to your css file. You can put it at the very end.
#logo a {display:block; text-indent:-9999px; height:100px; width:300px; background-image:url(###); background-repeat:no-repeat;}### should refer be a link to your image. If it’s relative to the stylesheet it’ll be background-image:url(logo.jpg); for example. You can also put in the full path.
The height and width should be changed to match the dimensions of your logo. To float it right, add “float:right;” to the code.

In reply to: Green Building Consulting WebsiteThanks for all the great feedback guys!
@cyberquill Using the actual sassafras image is an interesting idea. It would mean completely redoing the header colors and adjusting for all browser sizes- but may look good. I like the idea of using something natural.
I’m going to revisit the site in a few weeks when we do our SEO tune-ups etc. So, I’ll post another link if we go with a change.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Green Building Consulting WebsiteObviously everything hasn’t been adjusted, but this should give a rough idea. Do people like these options better than the current look?
