One common source of this problem is a tinymce bug, that should be fixed with WP 2.5.1.
This happens when you use the admin-ssl plugin : the tinymce bug prevents the redirection to https to be done correctly.
There’s a quick fix (2 lines) mentioned on the trac issue (see link above), applying it and clearing my browser’s cache worked for me.
