Yes, good question. Short history, site build in 94′ by 10th grade computer student using Cute HTML and Cute Ftp. He managed and I helped. By 2000 we moved and I took over using same progs and Frontpage so used WYSIWYG, do, preview etc. Then recent change to WordPress and completely new thing.
We have spent much time in India and had a source there build the WordPress site. Has been hard to find out and understand how and what themes he used.
Biggest thing though is trying to find a particular item on a page.
Like say change a simple thing like copyright date on my homepage.
Have done a bit with links to our YouTube site and a friend kindly created a nice movie channel page, but then try to find it and change or arrange videos and is not easy to do.
At moment am logged in to site and getting message:-‘This theme is broken. The parent theme is missing. Please install the “Revirene” parent theme.’
But obviously all is OK as site is working.
Is there a GUI in dashboard that will allow one to work in preview mode and change things?
Enough for now and thanks for your reply.

Thanks Julian, have almost stumbled on to your reply from TWO MONTHS AGO!!
You have spelled out very nicely some good info and will print out and try to use it.
We have spent many years in India and found a North Indian who converted site to WordPress for us.
Would like to sort out our YouTube links and playlists etc. Can see where some of the HTML links go and just all a bit confusing for an old fella. 🙂
Thanks again for your kind help.
