My client also had this happen to them today and I came onto the forum looking to see if anyone else had this happen to them.
Definitely, something going on with the Plugin that’s been recent.
Well after a lot of time and struggle, I decided to move the website to another server/hosting company and it fixed the issue. So had to do with my server configuration. Unfortunately I don’t know what the cause was still. I’m thinking it had to do with the firewall or an older version of php/cURL that wasn’t compatible. Either way, glad its fixed.

Thanks for reply! the article did help fix my server connection and the error message. However I’m still having issues with new plugins and setting a featured image. 🙁
