Thanks for the followup and response. But I would hardly call this ‘resolved’ for anyone looking for support…given the large list of files that “expound_get_featured_posts” exists in; what you’ve given someone (whom is not a theme designer) is a needle in the haystack and not resolution?

Hi Pothi – thanks so much for your response (to my newbie-ish question). When I removed those lines – my sidebar and post images don’t show up. Due to the lack of support for this theme I’ve since changed to another one.

Solution: The formatting of the built page is influenced by the format of the text of the shortcode. For example, when creating a page – if you notice in the upper-left of your compose window – there is a dropdown box that changes the text format to things like ‘preformatted’, ‘paragraph’, ‘header 1’. If you make the shortcode one of those format – it changes the entire display of the generated Sermon List.
In my case, it was setup as ‘pre-formatted’ (so it looked bad)….I changed it back to ‘paragraph’ and the result was what it should be.

The ‘fix’ listed in the above link (presented by Otto) totally fixed the jScript issues I was experiencing.
