    Dear @bvytis:

Thank you for your email. This turned out to be a bit more complicated than I originally thought. I will try to summarize it for you.

As an example, the post, Judy’s Memoir Workshop is hosted on Substack. I am using Feedzy to pull in her content from https://jlmandelmemoirworkshop.substack.com/feed, which I set up as a Category. and use the Feedzy shortcode on the blog page. Whenever she makes a new entry on Substack, that content is updated to the blog post after the 12-hour cache period.

I use a plugin called, Best Notifications for WP (BNFW), which allows me to set up notification types. I set up two, one for New Posts and one for Updates to Posts. I thought I had everything working but over the past few days, I have discovered it is not working as expected.

For some reason, the New Post notification is not working at all, (that has nothing to do with Feedzy). I have also discovered that, as you said, when Feedzy updates the content in the post, it does not change the post date and does not move the post to the top. As a result, it does not appear WP recognized the update and no update notification is sent.

So far, I have to manually hit the Update button to trigger the notification, and if the post is not already at the top of the page, I have to update the publication date to the current date/time, so it moves to the top.

It would be great if all of that could happen automatically.

I hope that helps. Feel free to get back to me if you have further questions.

Thanks for the quick response. Can you give me a little more detail on how to change an existing theme to match my site? I have jpg files for my top and side banners as well as the various pictures, etc. on the page. How do I integrate them into an existing theme?

If you go to the site you will see that it has a very distinctive look and matches a book that the site is about so I want to keep the look of the blog identical. Also, I will need to have links on the blog page to the other pages on the site. Can that be done easily? Again, I am fairly new to web design and rely on the iWeb tools to do a lot of the heavy lifting. Also, I really can’t move the blog to the root.

The web site has a lot of pages and the home page (www.replacementchild.com) has its own content. The blog (www.replacementchild.com/blog) needs to be a link off the main home page. My goal is to keep the blog page looking exactly like the other pages.

    Thanks again for your help.
