In reply to: Custom CSS & Sandbox ThemeThanks! I was coming to that conclusion on my own, but Very Slowly. However, it looks to me as if the Sandbox theme still has its usefulness for those of us who find it difficult to work with the CSS of fully formed themes.

In reply to: Custom CSS & Sandbox ThemeThanks for the reply. Yes, I have installed WordPress on my blog, hosted by Dreamhost. I can install my own themes. So is the “custom css” thing for WordPress-hosted blogs simply irrelevant?

In reply to: Custom CSS & Sandbox ThemeDear HandySolo,
You essentially refocused my question by saying, “We’re the .org folks here.” Right! So how do those of us who have our WordPress blogs hosted by someone other than WordPress get the Custom CSS upgrade?
Thanks,

In reply to: Need Some Plugin Testers- WYSIWYG PluginJoe,
I can’t get the plug-in to install. I tried transferring the folder/files just as they were unzipped. The plug-in manager can’t see them. I tried several other variations, no luck.
Can you please tell me which files and folders have to be in the /wp-content/plugins folder? I feel like I’m missing something really straightforward.
Also, do I understand that this plug-in won’t work in Firefox?
Thanks,
Tom

In reply to: Broken images in IE, not in FirefoxOy, I have no idea how that extra / got in there. It’s incredibly cool of Firefox to ignore the extra slash, but whatta rookie error on my part.
Thanks to all for taking the time.

In reply to: Broken images in IE, not in FirefoxAh, sorry about that.

By broken, I mean IE shows the red X, no images. Firefox shows the images just fine.

In reply to: Changing the Header in a Theme and Inserting ImagesAh yes, and one more thing. That tip works for Kubrick, but what about others, such as Batavia?
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Changing the Header in a Theme and Inserting ImagesThanks for the tip about Kubrick. A couple of questions (no good deed goes unpunished): where can I find this and similar tips (I take it this one is a comment to be found somewhere within the theme’s files)? and do you have any help with the more general question of modifying colors, &c.?
Again, thanks.
