Hi Joe. I have X connected as well, but it was disabled/hidden. I just removed the X connection entirely. And you’re right, the interface is simpler now – it’s just the “Post/Don’t Post” button.
I checked a few of the upcoming scheduled posts and it seems they’re all set to post.
Let’s see if that helps our situation!
Thanks, Jeff, I got your email. Thanks for getting in touch.
Hi Joe – sorry for not being clearer. It seems to be getting unchecked in the meta box for some of the posts. I can’t figure out why it’s checked for some but not for others.
I’m working with a co-editor on this site who has put “check BlueSky box” in his checklist of pre-publication steps. But I’m still seeing posts not publish to BlueSky occasionally.
FYI these are all scheduled posts. We usually schedule a week or more of daily posts at one time.
Derp. Found the answer in a reply to the *last* time I asked this question:

In reply to: Repeating characters cause post creation to failSteven, thank you! That was really helpful. I used the health check troubleshooting mode to re-enable plugins one at a time, and found the culprit: A plugin called “Smart Quote Fixer.”

It hasn’t been updated in over a year, and hasn’t been tested with WP 5.5, so I’m disabling it and looking for an alternative now!
Dylan.
@joedolson Thanks for the reply. The “pro” plugin is not currently active, so I don’t *think* that’s the problem. But I could uninstall it completely and test. Will let you know when I know more.

In reply to: Line breaks in excerpts with Gutenberg@joyously I created a bug report here: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/15117

In reply to: Line breaks in excerpts with Gutenberg@joyously Searching suggests that it has not been reported yet. I’ve never reported an issue in Github, but okay, I can do that.

In reply to: Line breaks in excerpts with Gutenberg@joyously yes, when I use the code editor to inspect these blocks, the line breaks — which people inserted using “Shift-Enter” — show as <br> tags. (No trailing slash, but it should work the same).
I am not certain how I would apply different styles to the excerpt handling mechanism inside WordPress. Do you have any suggestions?
It seems it is stripping out the <br> tags in Gutenberg blocks, and replacing them with a normal space (” “) in Classic blocks.

In reply to: Page Preview not working after WP 5 updateJust wanted to note that I am seeing the same problem as well. Since upgrading to WP 5.0, the Preview function no longer shows unsaved changes to the page I’m editing — it shows the *old* (saved) version of the page.
As the OP suggested, a hard refresh (shift-command-R on the Mac) seems to help, although not reliably.
I’m using Chrome on OS X and see this behavior on both my WordPress sites.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] How to create a blank line in Gutenberg editor?@bph Thanks for your reply. The “spacer” block is new to me — I was able to find it, and it does the trick.
Thanks also for the suggestion about making it a reusable block and using the / to call it up. These are all new features that I did not know about yet. Thank you!
I don’t think of blank lines as a “hack” — leading is a basic feature in typesetting and it is often desirable to add extra leading, for instance between different sections of a prose document, between different poems in a collection of poems, etc. Hitting return is a natural way to do this, and the amount of space can easily be controlled in an intuitive way (return twice = two blank lines, etc.). So I am inclined to think that WordPress’s lack of an easy way to add leading is a design flaw that overlooks a common typesetting need actually!

@mattyrob Thank you for all your help with this!
@mattyrob Looks like that did the trick! I was able to remove *all* registered subscribers from the category in one move. Thank you.
Now for a followup Q: Do you have any idea why all these users might have been subscribed to a brand-new category like this?
@mattyrob Version 10.22.1 of Subscribe2. On WordPress version 4.9.8.
@mattyrob Thanks. I just tried that, but I got a message saying “No users were selected”, and nothing changed.
