Hi @mooveagency
I’m sorry but your reply to @roystoliday above doesn’t look GDPR compliant to me either. My understanding of the GDPR requirement is that the user must be offered an explicit choice between Accept or Reject, and these must have equal prominence. Obviously, “Most website owners prefer that their users agree to all cookies” but if there is any justification for the GDPR beyond EU bureaucracy, it must be putting the choice in the user’s hands. Using methods to “lead” the user to the site owner’s preferred option is not compliant. I can refer you to the UK ICO guidance on this if you want.
Unless I’m missing something – which is of course possible – this is not the behaviour you’re describing. Are you able to convoice me this is GDPR compliant (eg by reference to UK ICO guidance or approval)?
BTW, I’m asking because your plug-in looks the best so far; if it wasn’t leading the pack I wouldn’t bother. Most of the others seem to do half the job and then dump you in the desert. And that may be why the proportion of compliant sites I come across is tiny. Far too many are stuck in the old mode of “We use cookies, now click on OK” which doesn’t cut it.
