(These settings are in the Image Details panel when you upload an image.)
I gather that single images must be linked to ‘Media File’ for the lightbox to work. If they are linked to the ‘Attachment Page’ they won’t display in the lightbox.
(By the way, I’m in China and sometimes going online using proxy software. Still, there doesn’t seem to be any correlation between using the proxy and my site not showing.)
