In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] Responsive Slider to FullscreenHi,
Unfortunately a built-in control is beyond the scope of the plugin. If you’re familiar with writing HTML and JavaScript you can edit the rotator layout to include custom elements and controls (see: http://www.dwuser.com/support/easyrotator/kb/customize-layout/ ), but this is beyond the scope of our support.

In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] Responsive Slider to FullscreenHi,
You can create a ful-window
<div>in your page without any margins, then set the width and height of the rotator to100%. Be sure to include the appropriate html and body css values as described here.Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi,
What happens now when you attempt to click the “Install EasyRotator Application” button in Safari? You should be prompted to trust the content, then the application should be detected as installed and allow you to proceed.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi Søren,
Thanks for using EasyRotator! If you’re running into trouble, please manually download and install the editor application from http://www.dwuser.com/easyrotator/ (using the EasyRotator-Win.exe or EasyRotator-Mac.dmg installer). Then, restart your browser, return to the page and try to launch again.
Please let me know if you run into any other issues.
Sincerely,

In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] Insecure Permission (777)Hi,
Thanks for using EasyRotator! In the easyrotator-for-wordpress/engine/main.php file, the program will attempt to update folders using chmod if they are not initially writable. You can run a search/replace for
0777
and replace it with e.g.
0666
That should ensure that any files whose permissions get modified are writable but not executable. Files are filtered when they are uploaded to this directory, and they can only be uploaded by fully authenticated users, but another rogue script or process could potentially deposit files there that could pose a threat.
Let me know if there’s anything else I may assist with!
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillForum: Plugins
In reply to: [EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin] Responive ImagesHi @mlarge,
Thanks for using EasyRotator! Unfortunately, our plugin isn’t the best option if you need to make advanced CSS adjustments such as those you outlined. For such cases, you’ll be best off using another plugin – perhaps Meta Slider, for example.
Best of luck with your project!
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi,
Thanks for the clarification. That border is part of your theme, not the rotator; you will likely need to make an adjustment to your theme’s CSS stylesheet to remove it. If you run into issues, you should contact the theme’s developer.
Best of luck with the project! Let me know if you have any other questions about the rotator itself.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi,
Thanks for using EasyRotator! I just checked your page at http://lvg.equality.gr/location/mykonos/ but don’t see any border; can you please confirm which browser you’re using as well as send a screenshot?
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi,
(Sorry for the delayed reply; we had a holiday weekend here in the US.) Please double-check that the configuration in the
wp_optionstable is set correctly for the URL to the uploads directory. Most likely, the image paths that are being generated are incorrect, which is causing the images to fail to load. If you’d like to open a support ticket and send the page URL and temporary login credentials, I’d be happy to check it.Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi @famiauni,
Sorry you’re experiencing trouble! This usually just indicates that your site hasn’t been fully migrated. Double-check that the
upload_pathvalue has been updated in thewp_optionstable. Here’s a thread that has some additional helpful tips.Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillThanks for the update – best of luck wrapping up the other issue.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi @mccage,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing trouble. Can you please confirm both the WordPress and EasyRotator plugin versions you were using before? If you were using EasyRotator version 1.0.12, you can download the archived version from here. I suspect from your errors that there may actually be a conflict with some other plugin, as we haven’t had any other users report compatibility issues with 4.3 or upgrade issues with 1.0.13.
Sincerely,
Drew O’NeillHi,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. To answer your question, you’re not the first to ask about our philosophy on this:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/installs-something-on-your-pcWhile the installation process for an external editor is slightly more involved, it provides a more seamless editing experience. Many others find that useful:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/extremely-easy-to-use-excellent-resultsThis plugin does indeed install a small editor on your computer, but it’s that editor that makes this plugin so easy to use. I’ve tried a lot of sliders and rotators, and most of them are crazy complicated. With [EasyRotator] I put together a slider — and edited it for tweaks — in about ten minutes. . . .
