Thanks a lot. I already did the uncheck. I am not super experienced. Can you tell me how to get the links you mention (what do they look like)? I just see many of our site pages on the sitemap, no “types” that I know of.
Then go to your site map and then go to your site map and copy the url for the individual post types indexes. PAGES, POSTS, ect, and then paste those into Google Search Console as new sources and then paste those into Google Search Console as new sources.
Adding – when I uncheck this, my sitemap totally disappears. Output optimized sitemap? [?]

I will try verifying as you said. What I did so far was open the post to see the watermark and it wasn’t there. I saved first. It was on the thumbnail at first but then disappeared.I used the view it said to use; I think it was list view but I don’t remember exactly. But I did notice that instruction and I followed it.
I have one plugin that renames files. The files I was adding the watermark to were renamed years ago. I don’t know if that would make a difference. Once the files are renamed, it doesn’t do anything. This is it: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/media-file-renamer/
