    I changed the theme to twenty twenty and found that the issue corrected. I was using the theme BoldGrid Wedge. Any suggestions on how to fix this theme?

    Thank you for your suggestions. I updated both Chrome and MS Edge as well as used the whatismybrowser page to find that Java is enabled on both browsers. I restarted both browsers and reran my test and it continues to be an issue.

    When you work on the expanded roles, you should consider showing a list of the email addresses so that the user can consider removing some from that list. I do hope you investigate working with s2member plugin. I was able to develop a work around, I can extract the email addresses from s2member and filter on the roles and then import the addresses into the default mailing list. It’s a bit time consuming but it works. Thanks for your assistance.

    I did exactly that. I selected the role alternative, and then was able to see the s2member roles in the list and selected the one I wanted and then the email never got sent. I checked the Sent Email option and saw that it had failed. I’m assuming it’s because I selected a role that although was listed in WP but that wasn’t understood by your application (not one of the standard roles). If you can explain how to troubleshoot the failed emails for further information on why they failed, please share that.
