The PHP 7.1. was the problem. When switching back to 7.0 or also to 5.6 the problem didn’t show up again. Give it a try.
The same happened to my wp page today as well… @Threadowner: How did you disable the plugin? I can not enable / disable any of the plugins.
I have the latest version of WP and PHP 7.1
