here are my suggestions:
1. since you purchased a theme, there should be a support forum or ticket that you can directly ask the company. i’d try that. they will know more about their theme and possibly have heard your issue before.
2. redownload and try again. sometimes i’ve had that work.
3. make sure that it is a .zip file you are uploading and that theme supports whatever version of wordpress you are using.
