I got the same error as you with about 5000 unexpected characters.
I tried it anyway and sometimes it display the banners, sometimes it doesn’t.
After 2 hours of battling with it, I am now giving up on it and heading to rent-a-coder to get my own made.

In other words, my articles, my ads, their articles, their ads.
for some reason that dropdown only shows for 3 seconds and then it disappears, not that I care mind you.
