    macmanx.

    Thanks.

There are no comments/trackback in the “Awiting Moderation” tab. When I do get “Spam” comments, I review these closely to be sure there is nothing that shouldn’t be there.

As for the comment blacklist. The “Blacklist comments from open and insecure proxies” box is checked, as it has been since I started using WordPress. I have not added anything to the Blacklist dialog block.

    I have no anti-spam plugins.

    Thanks for your assistance. –David

    Hello, once again.

It has been almost a month since I posted this question, and I have just gotten around to getting WP up and running.

I am now ready to move my Blogger Blog to WordPress. I have downloaded and read the Codex reference as well as the”catsututorials.” I have also downloaded Andy Skelton’s Modified Blogger Import Tool.

Questions are about comments. As I read over the Skelton reference, it looks like the comments being moved are the Blogger Comments. Is this correct?

I use Haloscan for my commenting, and wonder if using the import utility will bring them over as well.

    Thanks again for you help.

    Thank you.

    Hi all.

I think I am having the same problems.

I got everything up to the server. I ran the http://www.echo9er.net/blog/wp-admin/install.php, and got all the way through the password.

When I logged on, I got some error messages.

I closed everything, opened my browser and pointed to http://www.echo9er.net/blog/wp-admin, logged on with the username and password sent via email and was faced with the following errors:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/echoern/public_html/blog/wp-config.php:23) in /home/echoern/public_html/blog/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php on line 109

So, at this point, any help is appreciated.

Here is some information that you may need.

Browser: Firefox (Home); IE 6.0 (Work)
    Hosting service: Total Choice Hosting

Thanks again. I look forward to your expertise.

    macmanx,
    Thank you.

In reading the 5 Minute installation, I am a little confused about installing on my server. Here is what I want to do:

    Web Site: echo9er.com
    Blog site: echo9er.com/blog

Now, I would like to have WordPress in its own directory, (/WordPress), but the way I read the instruction, It should be installed in the (/blog) directory.

The directory tree would look something like this:

    /home
    /WordPress
    /blog
    /images
    etc. . .

If I install in a /WordPress Directory, will it work? Or, do I need to install in the /blog directory?

Thanks in advance. Just starting with WordPress and I’m excited to do so. Any and ALL hep APPRECIATED.

    David
