    Thank you @rfmcomposer ! I’ve been searching for a solution for quite awhile and nothing worked. I haven’t identified which plugin was causing the issue since I’m not using the White Label CMS plugin but your solution of disabling all plugins allows the WordPress core to upgrade.

    Simply rename the plugins folder to something like plugins.old, update the WordPress core (it’s now available – yay!), and rename the plugins.old back to plugins. It’s much quicker than manually updating WordPress – and much safer too.
