Thanks for all the responses so far. I am not dealing with small pieces of code, but large PHP files.
So the idea of turning that code into a plugin sounds more reasonable.
That is beyond my skill level though.

hi, i was playing around this afternoon, and installed great Real Estate pack.
Now when I click on one our your icons while creating a POST or PAGE, I get the little wite box, and this message
“You are not allowed to be here”
