I got it fixed, it may not have been the best choice but I used the custom CSS box and added
to have the “cat link” where the padding and font size is zero. That works so I’ll just stick with that unless you think it seems like it would be a problem.
Thanks very much.

In reply to: Use a Lazy Load plugin with a Cache plugin?Cool, thanks, I’ll give one a try.
I don’t have that many images, so it’s vids that are the slowest but I’ll see what happens.
Thanks again.Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: New theme installs with no imagesGood luck. I have noticed some themes will tell you what recommended size photos should be.
Then after that is just try to not have a photo with a large file size, there are different ways to compress file sizes or optimize so they aren’t going to slow down your website loading on someone’s device.Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: New theme installs with no imagesYou’ll get it going, just take your time and have patience.
I need to remind myself that constantly! 🙂If you go to “Appearance” and then “Customize” it (depending on the theme) will offer the different things to change/add, etc. Click on them and it will open some options.
There you can add a photo.
One way I think I’ve tried to get a proper size photo is look at the demo, then copy the photo and check it’s size, then make one the same size to fit or go to the forum for that specific theme and see if they have listed the dimensions and stuff in any documentation, or ask in the forum for that theme.
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Preload and garbage collectionHi,
I’m a bit confused on this also, if I have preload enabled and it gets to where I have it scheduled to preload all the posts again, are the old cache versions deleted or will they just keep being saved and build up over time?
Let’s say I have 25 pages and 25 are cached with preload and it’s set to preload again in one day.
When it preloads the 2nd day, do I have the current 25 and the old 25 stored somewhere and then on day 3 do I have 75 and day 4 are there 100? Or is it always 25 and no old useless ones stored?I’d like to make sure because if I set it to preload every day or two I don’t want to find out over time that I’ve built up a big file or folder with hundreds of old caches.
Thanks.
Thanks much,
I played around with the stuff and kept reading up and came across some usually older posts in forums (like one from 8 years ago) taking about how tinyMCE would strip off iframes and then saw one person say it only did that when they posted from the text page, not the visual but still it makes no sense since the site is a month old and I’ve posted lots of vids and probably posted from both type pages and the fact it was a new user shouldn’t make a difference so I just got rid of tinyMCE and it seems ok so far.
If I ever figure out for sure what it is I’ll add the answer here but may never know for certain. Since you said it would only block and not strip then I’d say anyone else seeing the same type problem check if they have tinyMCE or another WYSIWYG editor and check that out since those play around with the HTML and apparently don’t play nice sometimes.
Thanks for the quick response and the plugin.
Peace.
Ok, looks like the culprit is the Contact Form by BestWebSoft
I’ll fiddle around and make sure it’s set and then close this as solved in a day or two when I’m sure it’s set. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to share.
Thanks again James.Wait, I found it, had to click “browse” and then wander through the pages. Let me see what happens so anyone seeing this don’t bother wasting your time till I check this out. Thanks.
Ok, just tried the first thing and as expected found that proverbial brick wall pretty quick.
1st problem was my host is apparently unconcerned with people having to know which WP install is for which site as they just name them by numbers… which happen to be out of order of when I started the WP for that site and once in each one you have to click around to find out what it was, but anyway I went to do this:
“Use phpMyAdmin to deactivate all plugins.
In the table wp_options, under the option_name column (field) find the active_plugins row
Change the option_value field to: a:0:{}”So I’ll break that into pieces and show where I got stuck. my actions are in italics…
“Use phpMyAdmin to deactivate all plugins.
I got signed in and accessed phpMyAdmin ok
In the table wp_options,
found that
under the option_name column (field)
found that
find the active_plugins row
there isn’t one I can find anywhere so I can’t do the next step.
Change the option_value field to: a:0:{}”Is there anywhere in the phpMyAdmin I can just undo the WP update?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks James, I’ll try this one step at a time but seriously doubt I’ll have any luck but will try.
Is there any undo on the WP version by any chance? Since it was fine before if I could just click and undo then I’d be happy with that. If there isn’t an undo it sure would be handy.
Thanks again and wish me luck.

In reply to: Blavatar Option Not Found in “Settings” “General”?I had that same problem but I found if I go to “customize” (I’m using a theme by “Out the Box”) and then choose “site identity” it offers “site icon” and you can upload it there then it goes to where you can crop and preview what it looks like as a faviocon and an app icon.
So maybe check there.
Hope that helps!
Peace.
