Hi Dave,
for your information, utf8mb3 is much slower then utf8mb4 in MySQL 8.0.I have removed all the utf8mb3 from my sites since I think it is dangerous to keep data in utf8mb3 and upgrade to newer MySQL 8.0 version.

There is not difference, most of the png are not converted since the original version is smaller

Now there is cwebp 1.0.1 but I don’t know if it is stable on Ubuntu.
I have seen that apparently no one is using it on Ubuntu.

Some png are converted and so I see: x-webp-convert-status: Serving existing converted image
When they are not converted I see: Serving original image (it is smaller than the already converted)

No errors, when I see “network” in the Type column I see that png are not converted in webp
I don’t know if “skip png” will be an improvement. I never see how it works with png.
Gd compression is a bit better but it could be because with cwebp the quality option was not changing anything. Or it could be that with php 7.3 gd is improved.
I am having the same problem when I try to edit a post. Since I updated to Chrome 70 I am having this “AW,Snap” error. I am using Yoast in Italian.
Disabling the readability check solve the problem.

In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] Some settings are not saved.Now I have done your test removing also Autoptimize cache and Siteground’s Super cache, a second level cache, and bingo, that was the cache creating this problem!
But before this morning update of Plugin Optimize, the message displayed after setting the options was saying that the setting was not set. So I think the problem was solved by 9.3 and was not only a cache problem when I wrote my support question.

In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] Some settings are not saved.I have installed the new version of Plugin Organizer 9.3 and disabled WP Super Cache, the result is almost the same.
The only difference, with Plugin Organizer 9.3, is that the message text, that is displayed when I save them, now it say that the setting are set correctly. If I go back to the setting page or if I refresh the page the setting are gone like before.

In reply to: [Plugin Organizer] Some settings are not saved.Unfortunately It took me a lot of time to understand that the bad plugin was Wp Spamshield and not your plugin. This is why I removed Wp Spamshield so late. I am sure that a lot of sites still use Wp Spamshield.

It is correct to write “pro version add top position” and I would not lose my time.
But no problem, they honestly admitted that with my theme their plugin was not working well.
