Soon after I posted this, it started working exactly as intended. I’m not sure if I just needed to clear some cache since I was testing several different user types and events, making on-the-fly changes to settings in my sandbox.
So I assume that it should just include the # of spots reserved automatically once you enable the “Places” setting?
