Since I got no reply, I tried it myself. When I deactivated your plugin, all order numbers of orders from the past were reversed back to default order numbers. The invoice numbers used to be the same as the order numbers, the invoice numbers luckily remained the same.

Thank you for your response. I understand what happens when new orders are created when the plugin is deactivated. What about the order numbers of orders that are created now while the plugin is still active? Will these order numbers remain unchanged after I deactivate the plugin or will these order numbers be changed to default WordPress settings?
