yes, i was able to upload the default .htaccess file. I also changed my wp_config. deleted all my plug-ins & install it again….sigh…thank you so much! your such a blessing!

i have a back-up before i installed the plug-ins…can i just restore it? so that everything will come back to it’s place? if that’s so, kindly teach me how to restore using FTP since im a newbie.

thank you for your response, im a newbie here and not familiar on how to do things. But these are the things i’ve done so far:
– i remember changing permalinks as what the plugin suggested to secure my site – i tried to use it on my log-in, but it redirects to 404 also.
– it’s a single site installation
– yes, i installed wordfence also
– i tried to change the plugin folder to plugins.off – nothings change
– deleted the .htaccess file as what you’ve instructed. but still 404.
– deleted also the security plug-ins thru ftp – still can’t access my site.
