I already tried that, I get the same error even when my “uploads” folder permissions are at 777.
However, I solved the problem elsewhere in WP config. For the record, the problem was in the Settings > Media > Store uploads in this folder (see step #1 of this page for more details: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/how-to-fix-the-unable-to-create-directory-error-in-wordpress-5264 ).
