In reply to: [Postie] Connection Time Out – GoDaddyThanks for your help. i tried out the plugin on a site not hosted on Godaddy and it worked perfectly.
Now I’ve been chatting with their “tech support” for over an hour and they’ve been repeating the same ridiculous message to me.
Anyway, guess it’s time to find a new hosting provider.
Got any suggestions? lol

What I did was write a script that opens up my browser (chrome) and visits mydomainname.com/wp-cron.php every now and then to keep my cronjob active enough.
If anyone wants, I can share the source code.

Any luck, I’m in the same boat as you? From the little I’ve gained from searching online, you can check settings to see the limit of emails your newsletter plug can send in an hour. Also try setting up a external call to call your cron periodically. (not sure if that makes a lot of sense but it’s what everyone is saying).
